2d output - trial versions

I wanted to experiment with various 2d outputs using a combination of my digital 3d models produced in rhino and a heavy use of photoshop.

below are a few examples of my work.

3d model production and initial captures

I have modeled one of the dry docks in my site as accurately as possible using a cross section found in the greenwich heritage center. this model was exported as a .stl file into zprint and printed using the 3d powder printer.

a base map was cut into a mdf board using the laser cutter so that the 3d print out could slot into place

below are a few captures of my unfinished model
I want to photograph this model in the studio with some proper lighting and with buildings added in as well

modeling of project site

in the early captures of my rhino model I used the multiviewcapture addon, however exporting my model as .3ds and importing into blender and rendering from there produced much nicer results
these renders could be used in my 2d output
